Short Bio (Main titles / positions / activities)
Dr. Ellis received his PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia and spent his post-doctoral fellowship in transplant immunology at the Medical College of Virginia under the mentorship of Dr. T. Mohanakumar. He then spent the next 18 years as a research immunologist and tenured faculty member at Loyola University School of Medicine, and subsequently spent 10 years serving as Director of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics at BloodCenter of Wisconsin. In 2012 he moved to the University of Wisconsin-Madison he is currently Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and serves as Director of the HLA Laboratory.
